How to Make Baby Shoes
After I found out I was pregnant with my first baby, little Crew, I immediately made him his first pair of shoes. They were the cutest little things and screamed BYU. Making baby things has always brought me so much joy and so has buying them! Before even having kids I was obsessed with the company Freshly Picked. I love the baby shoes they make but I also love hearing about all things business. Susan at Freshly Picked is a serious Boss Babe and such an inspiration to me!
However as poor college students I knew buying those moccasins was not an option at the time so I set out to make my own pair of baby shoes. Ever since then I have continued to love making baby shoes, and really anything baby related. It’s just SO CUTE AND LITTLE! Can you blame me?
I did a video years ago on making baby shoes but after the free pattern was removed I realized I needed to come out with something better that wouldn’t go away after a short amount of time. I love Peek-a-boo Pattern shop and she has a great pattern for baby shoes, along with many other great patterns.
I also got sent some beautiful fabric from Annie Brady, who is a designer for Moda Fabrics. Right away I knew I wanted to make some baby items with her fabric, so after making a little dress I had just enough fabric to make two pairs of shoes! And they turned out SO CUTE! I love this mermaid trend. So much fun.
Check out the tutorial below. Making baby shoes really is the best. They are just so cute and little it is hard not to loooove them.
