How to Install Snaps

When I first started working with snaps I was a little intimidated by the process of installing them and then I had issues with the snaps moving or coming out. It’s no fun to have issues with snaps but once you have it figured out they are SO easy to work with.

I love adding them to kids clothing. I wanted to share the things I have learned working with snaps so I created one master video and then broke it down into three different videos if you are working with a specific snap.

There are lots of different kinds and brands of snaps. In my videos I show how to install plastic snaps and two different metal snaps. The metal ones are exactly the same they just come from different companies. Both companies have different tools to install the snaps so I show you how to use both of them.

Overall I found that I love to work with metal snaps. I love the professional finish it gives. Between the two brands that I worked with, I preferred the Dritz Snap Fastener Kit that I got at Joann’s. It is so quick and easy to use.
