How to Sew a Hair Scrunchie

If you haven’t noticed scrunchies are now back in style. Which is so funny to me because they were a huge accessory in my house when I was in elementary school. I’m sure I have a few pictures of my sisters and I rocking our scrunchies.

So when they came back on trend I thought this is really fun and now we have so many fun colors and prints to choose from. However I never brought myself to buy any because I kept saying I would just make them.. but did that ever happen? haha not for a while. BUT now I have a tutorial and a FREE pattern for you to make your own hair scrunchies!

I’m kinda mad it took me so long to make these because they are so much fun and so easy to make. AND they help add a little fun to my boring pony or bun that my hair is in 90% of the time. The possibilities are seriously endless with these. You can use all different kinds of fabrics and mix and match with every outfit!

I also love how this tutorial is perfect for someone who is just learning how to sew or it can be a quick project for an advanced seamstress. ANYONE can make a scrunchie. And they make the most perfect gift for anyone who has hair long enough to put in a pony. I’ve already got christmas presents figured out and it’s only July! SCORE!
