Mommy & Me Outfit for The Lugu Fabrics Blog Tour

Guys, I love fabric. Like LOVE it! I’m pretty sure collecting fabric is one hobby and sewing is a whole other one. So when Jessica Swift started showcasing her new line with Art Gallery Fabrics I fell in love quick. I love bold colors and fun prints and this line has all of it. I knew I had to get some of it and was so excited to be apart of the Lugu Fabrics Blog Tour.

If you want to follow along with the tour and see more amazing posts with this beautiful fabric line, you can check out Jessica’s intro blog post for the tour.

I have always seen mommy and me outfits but they are usually for moms with little girls but that was definitely not going to stop me. I decided to make tops for my son and I. I love how these turned out for us. I let my son pick what fabric he wanted to use from the line and he chose the Sleep Tight Njghtfall because he loved the animals on them. He is determined they are unicorns and can’t be told anything else.

I love how the fabric shows off so many different colors. I honestly had such a hard time deciding what fabric to go with but ultimately went with this amazing moon print. I love how it pulls out the other colors in my sons shirt. I just can’t get enough of the vibrant colors.

It has been so gloomy and rainy here in Utah and I was a little disappointed we wouldn’t be able to take pictures outside. Although I did try to convince my son to dance in the rain with me. Unfortunately he didn’t love the idea, so instead we headed to the library and took some pictures there. That little boy is just the cutest. His cheesy smile melts me every time.

For my top I used the Friday Harbor Blouse from Peek-a-boo Pattern shop

The fabric I used was the Lumina Dusk for the main and Konstelacija Valge for the details.

For my sons top I used the Cape Cod shirt from Peek-a-boo pattern shop.

The fabric I used was Sleep Tight Nightfall for the main and Konstelacija Valge for the details.

I had so much fun making these for my son and I. I’m already planning our next mommy & me outfit. Maybe it will become a new blog series for me
