The Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide for people who LOVE to Sew!
Every Christmas as a kid we would get one big present and a few little ones to go with it. I remember most of the time the big gift was left until the end to open, unless the item was physically too big, then it was the first thing seen. For my husbands family the big gift was front and center, usually not wrapped, and considered the present that Santa left for them. With our kids still being so young we are still figuring out what our traditions are but I have always loved the excitement and anticipation of a big present. I wanted to put a list together of all my big ideas for Christmas gifts for people who love to sew. There are so many wonderful options for every price range and I love all of these items or want these myself!
- Cricut ExploreAir 2 — If you haven’t used a cutting machine to cut fabric or create fun projects, you are missing out! The ExploreAir 2 raises the bar on making quality projects and gives you so so so many possibilities. The ideas are endless with this one! Also, have you seen the color options??
- Daylight Company Table light — I don’t mean to be dramatic but this light is LIFE CHANGING! I was lucky to receive this as a gift and it has made a huge difference in my dark sewing room. I have it placed right over my sewing machine and it helps so much. I’ve talked to a few others who have it and they are just as obsessed. And this one is rose gold!!! So so pretty
- Bernina Sewing Machine — Any Bernina sewing machine would be an incredible gift. I personally have a Bernina Aurora 430 and I love it. This one I linked to is the smaller Bernina but a great starting point if your interested in getting a higher end machine.
- Walking foot — This will all depend on what type of machine you have but I love my walking foot! It has been a wonderful addition to my sewing arsenal.
- Dream Cart — Are you looking for more sewing space but don’t have a lot of permanent space to keep things set up? This cart is for you! It folds up so small and is able to be moved around easily. I keep it in my sewing room set up but when I want to work while watching Netflix I can push it in front of the tv. I love the totes it also stores and helps keep me so much more organized.
- EasyPress 2 — I was shocked to realize how much I loved this. I didn’t think I needed one because the iron I have I love so much (see #8). But I received the EasyPress at the PERFECT time and quickly fell in love. I love that I can control the temperature and set a timer on it! I love the different sizes available. Right now I have the 9”x 9” and feel that that is perfect. I would love to have the mini too for tho odd shaped projects.
- Babylock Serger — Having any serger is ammmmazing and I fully endorse getting a serger for Christmas. This Babylock Evolution is my new baby and I love it. I’ve worked on it before and have always been so impressed. It has the option to go from a serger to a cover stitch machine which is the best! Some people do prefer those two machines to be separate, which Babylock does have both!
- Oliso Iron — This is the iron of allll irons! I didn’t know how much I would love ironing and pressing projects until I got this iron. It is a game changer! I love that it turns off after 30 minutes so if/when I forget I don’t burn the house down.
- PGM Dress Form — This dress form has been on my list for a while now. It would make creating and fitting clothes to myself so much easier. I am always hearing about the amazing quality the PGM dress forms are.
- Dream Box — I believe this is the ultimate Christmas present. It really is a dream box. I love that it has the capability to fold up into a compact box and then open up huge, SO MUCH STUFF can fit in here and organizes it so well! Forget about losing or misplacing things, this box stores it all in the best way possible.
