My Everyday Statement Top
I always dream of making dresses and having a whole closet of beautiful, but also very functional, dresses. But then I sew a dress and it is beautiful and fabulous but only gets worn for special occasions and church on Sunday’s and I wonder why did I even do that if I’m not going to wear it more often. This realization has led me to reach for patterns I will actually wear more often, like every single day, if I could. At this point in life I’m a comfy top and jeans kinda girl.

Insert the Simplicity Jumpsuit Pattern! It was the perfect summer outfit and perfect for this linen!

The Maritime Top
Years ago when I was visiting my parents in Kansas, we went to the cutest fabric shop in downtown Lawerence (GO JAYHAWKS!) They have a ton of different fabrics and I was in heaven. Now my parents live in Colorado and I miss that fabric shop so much. It was dreamy. Every time I would visit we would make a special trip there. This particular trip I fell in love with this organic birch knit, as I always do when I see birch fabrics. While we looked around I tried to think of different ways I could justify spending $20/ yard on this fabric. I had never gotten fabric that…
