My 2020 Sewing Plans!
I love chatting and hearing all about the plans everyone has made for 2020, especially when it has to do with sewing. I love making a few big plans so I can remember what I really want to be focusing and not get too distracted by all the other pretty things I see.. although those are fun to sew too! I shared a full video with all the details on what I want to focus on this year!

My Everyday Statement Top
I always dream of making dresses and having a whole closet of beautiful, but also very functional, dresses. But then I sew a dress and it is beautiful and fabulous but only gets worn for special occasions and church on Sunday’s and I wonder why did I even do that if I’m not going to wear it more often. This realization has led me to reach for patterns I will actually wear more often, like every single day, if I could. At this point in life I’m a comfy top and jeans kinda girl.

A Sewists Review of the Cricut Explore Air 2
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine. Over the last year I have been experimenting with different cutting machines to see what works best for me as someone who loves to sew. It has been a whole new world to uncover but ultimately it has led to so many new opportunities and saved time! For my husbands family the big gift was front and center, usually not wrapped, and considered the present that Santa left for them. With our kids still being so young we are still figuring out what our traditions are but I have always loved the excitement and anticipation of a big present. I wanted to put a list together of…

DIY Christmas Stocking Advent Calendar
As much as I love bright and fun colors I have realized that when it comes to Christmas I like to keep it somewhat traditional…maybe because I already have so much stuff that is “traditional”. I will still add in the bright pops of green and blue but I love the basic red and green for Christmas. Although I should say I can’t guarantee it will always be that way.. I do love the colorful Christmas decor. We go all out in our Christmas decorating and even have an ever growing collection of Santa’s that my husband takes great pride in. I like to think I’m collecting nativities but really…
